Workout with me!

Ok so I have a Miami trip coming up in a few months and let’s face it I should be working out in general as it’s definitely part of living a healthy life. Here’s a few things I’m doing to stay in shape and live a healthy life.

Kayla Itsine’s Bikini Body Guide (bbg)   I’m sure you’ve heard about this latest trend. It’s all over Instagram and the results are major. It’s a 30 minute workout, no equipment needed. 3 times a week with carbo sessions in between. There is even a cool app called ‘Sweat with Kayla’ that you can try free for 7 days if you wanna see what her works out are all about. 30 intense minutes…. That’s my kinda workout.

Travel Stylist – New York City

All this NYC fashion week fun has inspired this travel stylist post. NYC in the Winter. Layer, layer, layer.

1. High Slit– never too cold for a high slit dress. Try a colour other than black though. Burnt orange or olive are just as sexy.

2. Fur – You don’t need a long fur coat like the Kardashians. Just a touch will do. Here I have it on the pockets of the coat or a sweatshirt. Or even a clutch. Fendi loves the fur.

3. Long vest– keeps the butt warm and really dresses up a casual look. I loved how Marianna Hewitt pulled it off this past week.

4. The basic accessories – Nude heels, thigh high boots, white sneakers, black hat, clutches. You have it all in your closet, so wear it!

5. Colour– Well not too much colour. NYC is known for the black, on black, on leather. So when you say to add colour, I mean add colours that we also consider neutrals  like blush, olive, and navy.  Burnt orange is a new fav of mine too. So pack some colour neutrals.  Continue reading

DIY Be My Bridesmaid Gift

As you know I’m getting married later this year and one of the most important things was asking my girls if they would be my bridesmaids. I’ll go over some good  resources and tips you can use to ask your besties!

This is the #1 step. You need to know what you want to do. Do you want to ask with a cute card, a personalized bottle of wine, jewelry or a gift box of goodies. Wedluxe Fun!

On January 10, 2016, I went to check out the luxurious wedding show call the Wedluxe Wedding Show. It was everything I could imagine and more. To start, the gift bag we all received was full of great stuff, from beautifully scented candles to amazing face products and of course the most recent Wedluxe magazine. Some of the set ups were very high end but the inspiration was there too for the rest of us.  You could definitely do it on a lower scales with Lin your budget. Everyone’s favourite part was the main entrance of an Italian lemon orchard. Hope you find inspiration in some of these other pictures from the event. I highly recommend checking out the next Wedluxe wedding show. I kinda feel like I will keep going, even after my wedding.

Also as I will be getting married this year, I’m planning to add a bridal section to the blog. Share with you some great Toronto venders and the details of all the events leading up to the big day! Let me know if you have any questions along the way. Having some guidance in this process really helps.

Christmas Spirit and Style

Sharing some of my Christmas Holiday outfits. For Christmas Eve, I just felt like wearing a tee but still wanted to look christmassy so I wore a Santa brooch I had made for my mom when I was in elementary school. #vintagesanta. The tee was a dark green so still had those Christmas elements. And I love snapchat Christmas filters… so much fun.

On Christmas day, I wore a Joe Fresh silk shirt with grey jeans and of course paired it with red lips. Also included lots of Christmas Tree and wrapping inspiration.

Squad Christmas

My girlfriends and I do an annual Christmas dinner and Kris Kringle exchange. Its the holidays so obviously I was looking for something sparkly to wear. I got this top at Forever 21. The whole top is made of sequins. It was perfect. Paired it with black pants, Valentino studded heels and my Chanel jumbo classic flap handbag. Black and white with red lips. Done!

Outfit Details:
Top- Forever 21
Pants – Topshop
Heels- Valentino
Handbag – Chanel
Outerwear – FCUK

Travel Stylist – Muskoka Holiday

Planning to head to a cottage or ski trip this holiday season. Here are just a few key pieces you should be packing with you.

1. Jackets– If you can, bring two types of coats. One focused on keeping you warm and one keeping you stylish. Always good to have a Canada Goose jacket to keep you very warm during the day. Then a cute wool jacket for dinners out or enjoying s’mores over a fire.

2. Sweaters– Key piece for sure! I would bring a few and all in different styles. Here I’ve included an open sweater for layering; staple long neutral sweater that can be wore with anything; and a fun cropped sweater in a soft colour.

3. Bottoms– Leggings are a must, so comfy and look cute with all your sweaters. Big trend now is matching crop top and leggings combo. Kylie Jenner has been rocking the mauve or black monochromatic sets. So here you can add the black crop turtle tank and grey open sweater. Other musts are skinny sweatpants and army sweats. The army sweats are good because they add a pattern and colour to your outfit but you still consider it a neutral so you can wear with any colour top. My fav colour match….Orange and army.

4. Pajamas– I love pajamas!! Like the patterned thermal long sleeves and bottoms. It’s kind of like the crop top, legging set. You want to have cute pajamas because you will be lounging in those a lot too. This pair has trees and a red car pattern all over. Perfect for the cottage!

5. Accessories– Toque with a pom pom. Very important. Slippers. Check! Uggs have the perfect pair. Knapsacks are still all the rage so why not throw all your stuff in there.

Ok all packed and ready to go! Share your trips with me! Enjoy and happy holidays!
